This is a copy of notes I keep for when I want to place an image on the website. try if you like to see how you get on.
How to put images on to a website
Save the image, with a name of the image onto a file ie DESKTOP for instance.
Give the image a name that you should try to remember when you want to put it onto the forum.
Open A site called “TinyPic.com” on GOOGLE and click on the ”TinyPic Free Image Hosting,Photo Sharing & Videos, site.(In my case, click on the icon, on the Desktop)
On the page UPLOAD IMAGES AND VIDEOS click on “browse” to open the file that has the image in that you want to upload.
Click on the image and then click on open.
Next to the File Browse will be the name of the image. Click on Upload Now
There is an option to reduce the size of the image by clicking on the down arrow, next to the DEFAULT setting.
Click on the IMG code in Forums and Message Boards
Highlight the IMG code and click on Copy
Note:- The picture will only show after the post at the bottom of the page has been pressed/clicked.
Paste the IMG Code onto the forum page and then click on Post at the bottom of the page.
If the club updated their host with something that lives in the 21st century and made it a more user friendly service, that’d be a start ! They must be paying very little to run this website.
I used to use Photobucket, but I now call it Photblocket (those that use it will understand…) Flickr is a good one, and you can edit your pics, as well as choose a size for copying links from - although they will add extra stuff to your image,
