Some pictures of my Auto Art 1/18 scale die-cast MX-5.
The manufacturers have done a pretty good job of reproducing the PRHT I think, although on the model it is not actually powered !

Ooh that’s lovely! Look at the exquisite detail in those wiper blades, the seatbelts, the door handles. Really nice. Do they do an NA?
That looks superb. Is it the 75974 from Autoart?
They are around £90+postage - The better half bought me one for Christmas and the details is first class. They come left or right hand drive and different seat colors. The blue is very nice, but I hope to find someone to paint mine sliver (sad I know)

Thank you gentlemen, for the response to the photos of my Auto Art MX-5.
I bought it a couple of years ago, from a dealer on eBay, for about £70.00, but I’m afraid that because I did not keep the original packaging, I have no idea what the Auto Art ref. no. is - nothing is marked on the actual model at all. Having said that, a quick Google did reveal some more info, and it does indeed look to me like it is the 75974 model, but I cannot be sure.
In fact it wasn’t until Cypher mentioned it, that I discovered they did right-hand-drive versions - I bought what I could get at the time, and had to settle for a left-hand-drive one, as you can see.
Again, a Google search does show up a number of variations, including a silver one (75972), but they all seem to me to be of the NC prototype.
They are indeed very highly detailed models, but this does come with quite a hefty price tag, and I certainly wouldn’t fancy taking an airbrush to mine, to change its colour.
Great model. Although the price of them is making it harder for me to justify buying them. I have my eye on a Alfa Montreal, but price is around £230. It would look nice though next to the Espada, 928, C4 Corvette and Mk1 RX7.
I’ve just discovered that Kyosho make an NA model in 1/18 scale - there is one on eBay at the moment, but horrendously expensive at £120.00 !
