My 2011 NC windows have the auto down feature (short full press down of the button), but not the corresponding auto up feature, which I would also like.
I spotted this video and carried out what he demonstrated, but it doesn’t appear to work on my NC. I still only have the auto down feature.
Does anyone know of a way to activate the auto up feature?
I don’t even think mine has auto down,
Good question.
My PRHT NC is UK 2008
Both my switches have only one contact point for Up, ie Manual.
Both have successive two contact points for Down, ie Manual, then Auto.
I expect you need the extra contact position on the switches for Auto Up to be possible. So I guess he has a different switch module. Interesting.
Both my window switches have their three little “here I am” red dots lit when power present, although they dim under load. I noticed in the video his dots were still visible (in the daylight) when a switch operated, so different to mine.
I’m happy with how mine works and did not try the video button press sequences. “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.”

While I’d like to have Auto-Up on my car, what’s even worse is that once you take the key out of the ignition, the windows are immediately disabled. On all my other cars, the electric windows remain operative for a minute or so after they key has been removed.
So my usual parking involves pressing the “roof up” button once (I have a SmartTop module fitted) as I approach the parking space, park the car, wait for the “beep” to say that the roof has fully closed, switch off the car, take the key out of the ignition, latch the roof, realise that the windows are still partly down, put the key back in the ignition and turn to the Acc position, close the windows, remove the key again and then get out of the car!
