Hi all, as above. While on holiday this week, we had quite a bit of rain, and noted that when in “auto” mode the windscreen wipers did not activate?
They have been fine in the past. Just wondering what I should check first?
NB The car did go into the main dealers last week for it’s 6 year service. Could they have “re-set” something??

There is a setting on the MZD Connect to turn rain sensing wipers on or off but usually when off they operate just as intermittent wipers rather than not at all.
Have you had a windscreen replacement? There is a gel pad between the rain and light sensor at the top of the windscreen that tends to remain on the original windscreen rather than getting transferred over.
Ta for the reply…I can confirm that the winscreen has not been changed…
Have you tried unchecking the rain sensing setting and using them in intermittent mode
…yes, I have had a go this morning, and re-set the wipers to “auto off”, and they now work in “manual” mode…
It may be worth disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to see if this clears the memory. It’s a bit of a long shot.
