B3157 Along the coastal path from Weymouth to Bridport

Took the drive this morning with lunch at the Eggcup Tea Rooms Swyre, back home to watch the rugby & football cup finals.

Took the drive this morning with lunch at the Eggcup Tea Rooms Swyre, back home to watch the rugby & football cup finals.

Definitely worth a drive along there. The views are superb, just a few too many rubber-neckin’ vehicles on the road…

Last time on it we saw half a dozen glorious bikes lined up in another lay-by near where your MX5 is parked; a gleaming gold Guzzi, a dashing red Duke, and a pair of Harleys with acres more chrome than black paint, they made the fully race-faired VFR look very plain.  But my eyes were drawn to the Hinkley Thunderbird paired up with the 848, and this shot of those two has almost the same background.

 Many bikers have met their end on that road, the speed limits were reduced a couple of years ago & its a favourite spot for the local ROAD SAFE SPEED CAMERA, in fact my wife picked up a speeding ticket driving through Portasham a few years ago, there is one particular dangerous T junction “SNPIE GATE” where there have been many RTC’s some fatal.
