Back box quandry

Hi, thinking of changing stock rear silencer for either bbr grand tourer or mx5 club version [ sold out at the moment ] only thing is that i do a fair amount of motorway driving and it seems that these boxes are a bit drony at these revs which me or my good lady don’t fancy too much. So I would like as much info from those with experience to help me on my decision please…Also, is there an alternative which would do the job of great sound when having fun and calm when on motorway ???Thanks

Not tried the ones you mention but very happy with the Gravity Performance back box on my NC1.
Nice sound to it without being too loud.
No annoying motorway drone although it is louder than stock.

Must admit, I’ve never heard an aftermarket exhaust which don’t sound like an aftermarket exhaust. Meaning, when I hear it I KNOW it’s aftermarket exhaust. Obvious yes, but they always seem to sound either strong or mild versions of 'Kyle’s’1L, 90hp Fiesta with an ‘exhaust’.
Whereas something like a Hyundai N car got a similar thing going on, but it don’t sound aftermarket, like Kyle’s 1L Fiesta. Even that Abrath competizione exhaust, while certainly an acquired taste, still don’t sound like aftermarket.

I didn’t find the BBR GT rear box droned much on the motorway on my ND2 at all. It only raised it’s tone under moderate to hard acceleration.

good to know, thanks
