Back in my 3rd MX5

Hi all

After years of reading posts and I’m now back in my 3rd MX5

I’ve had an NB a red 2005 55 plate 1.8 sport back in around 2008

Then had a selection of other brands including a few Porsche’s but always loved the MX5

Then had my 2nd MX5 a black 2018 ND RF 2.0 sport in 2020

I was then in a fortunate position in 2021 to spec and order my first new Porsche a 718 Cayman so only kept the ND for 12 months.

circumstances have changed we now have 2 grandchildren so I the Cayman had to make way for a New Macan in 2024.

Then early this year I was missing a 2 seater so started the hunt for another MX5 to keep me happy when not picking up grandkids in the Macan.

Found myself a nice 2.0 sport 2018 in machine grey with 16k miles on the clock and FSH

A few tweaks so far

Stubby antenna
CarPlay fitted
Wireless Carlink
Lots of cleaning and polishing!!

Looking forward to waving to fellow MX5ers as always :waving_hand:

Where did you get the CarPlay done out of interest?

Thought about doing myself but in the end decided to get done at local Mazda dealer £350

Then I ordered the wireless Carlinkit 5.0 direct from Carlinkit website paid about £42 was on offer and had a good discount code I’ve hid that under the centre console all works fine :+1:t3:

Great. It’s on my list of jobs but I phoned my local dealers who transferred me to different departments then over to a Toyota branch! I’ll not use them lol
