Does anyone know if the Yuasa Battery sold and fitted by Halfords is ok for my car.
There seem to be a lot of alternatives but the above is obviously most convenient .Also are there likely to be any problems in fitting it myself: heard something about not losing a radio code??

I fitted a Yuasa YBX5053 to my 2006 sport.
Not sure what model Halfords offer.

Most NC’s came out with no code set in the radio - it would only have a code if an owner chose to set one.

What you will get is warning lights on the dash after swapping the battery.
One is cancelled by turning the steering lock to lock.
The other is cancelled by driving a few meters - switching off the car - then starting it back up.

As above, Ive had 2 of these for my Nc over the years, they come with a 5 year guarantee and my first Yuasa battery died when it was exactly 5 years old.

Thank you. Seems like they may be ok then.

I’ve had two also, previous NC and current NC. Yuasa fitted to my daily driver too although a different model as it’s stop/start SEAT.
