Milltek manifold back exhaust, modified with a 200 cell sports cat welded in the front pipe
I have just ordered the larger bore BBR midpipe (2.5 inch), this should hopefully give a small a power gain but more to the point I want to replace my Milltek, its just a bit too quiet for me and you don't get any pops or crackles on the overrun, and its a deep sound rather than raspy....just a bit too civilised :(
Now I am fairly well up on the different Mk3 exhausts but I am hoping somebody can offer their thoughts on the BBR ‘Supersport’ exhaust when paired with a 4-1 manifold and midpipe? It looks good and I have been told it sounds great, but I am also told its loud!
Anyone with the Super 180/200 conversions have the full BBR supersport exhaust? Do you find it unbearably loud or just right…? I know this is an inherently subjective question of course but I can’t find many folk who have the BBR exhaust components…
I want to pair the manifold and midpipe with a new backbox with a 2.5 inch entry and something that sounds better…considering the PTR backbox, getting them to make me something from scratch, or the BBR Supersport backbox…!
Got the lot, and love it !..can get a bit droney on motorways with the hood up, but other than that ticks every box…
I should add that loudness has never been an issue for me, the louder the better as far as I’m concerned, but some could say there are times when it can be a tad intrusive…as always that part of the equation is down to personal taste…
Hi have mk3.75 with BBR180 pack with exhaust , will second comments above, though really pleased as it does make a superb and meaty sound with pops and crackles , a few months in: does appears smoother / maybe am getting used to it .
A shame there is nobody local to me with the same system so I can hear it…! I know it sounds good but just a bit on the loud side…I might love it (since I find the Milltek too quiet) but having heard its over track day noise limits then it might be too much and its not a cheap mod really…
