Well, a new car means a new manual, so considering xmas is coming up and people are always asking me what to get, a workshop manual thought I. But which? I have looked on the site and there isn’t really a definitive that I can see. Preferably one that has good content and like the older Haynes style, not the more recent one. Any thoughts?
how about this m8?
but do a search for used ones… cheaper
The problem with the Haynes manual is that its written for the US market, and not RHD let along Roadster specific.
Many of us have this book (1.6 or 1.8 versions):

Its been revised and rebranded over the years. The original 1.6 version was based on Rod Grainger’s tear down of an early UK MX5, but over the years, successive editions have been updated with references to any significant Roadster differences (there aren’t many).
damn it, that why my steering wheel ended up on the wrong side when i reassembled the car
looked for a good manual a lot of times and never found those RAC ones. thanks for the link.
It would seem the RAC one is the one. Hope it has lots of pictures, though!!
Another vote from me for the Rod Grainger manual.
Keep an eye on ebay or post a ‘wanted’ ad on here.
You’ll find them here; http://www.veloce.co.uk/shop/products/search.php. 40% off at the moment with discount code ‘XMAS40’.
this says £12 which is good if correct. I’ve had mine for years & it’s brilliant, just did engine change so its all grubby on those pages
I brought a rod Grainger manual, I found it cheaper new on Amazon than used on flea bay,
