I’ve been delaying getting a new roof as the Vinyl patch was holding and then the fuel fiasco. However, the patch has given up.
I started mailing/ calling a number of suppliers/ fitters and I’ve been surprised that they don’t seem that interested in coming to fit. Can someone recommend who is best to buy a mohair roof from for a Mk2. I am still torn as to whether I should get a red or blue hood on a silver car, or if it will make it stand out too much to local vandals.
I’m in Berkshire,and desperate for a roof. Recommendations please?
Another vote for jack smiths! Sent me a mohair roof to fit myself. Really good quality hood and some rather comedy, but very useful fitting instructions.

Went to Dandycars today. New black mohair roof. Well I tell you what, their service is fantastic! From phoning (I called Thursday lunch and saw me Friday morning!) to fitting, to dealing with the payment. All as said, what top lads. Roof looks amazing, really lifts the car. Only bummer is I can’t lower it for a week.
