Hi Everyone, I have a MX5 ND2.0 and want to paint calipers red to match Soul Red. Any recommendations on best paint to use and best colour match?. Thanking you Andy.
Soul Red paint code is 46V and the TouchUp Paint Factory do aerosols or bottles of paint depending on how you wish to repaint said callipers. I’ve found them to supply very accurate matches of colour.

I’ve used recently Halfords heat resistant paint, various colours including red. In the past I’ve used as mentioned above Hammerite Smooth, that does a good job too.
The Halfords paint is thinner than the Hammerite so will definitely need more than one coat. Also it’s ok using Hammerite on calipers but don’t if you are using the car on track because of the heat build up.
A good idea if you are interested in such detailing to paint the unswept area on the disc, have you noticed how badly corroded the standard unpainted discs get in that area? Definitely use an heat resistant paint there, black, silver or whatever.
