Best way to apply badges to bodywork

  1. My model of MX-5 is: NB Icon
  2. I’m based in Cheltenham
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on best method to apply special edition badges to front wing.

Hi all have my car back from paint shop and looks fab and finally found original s e badges but terrified to stick to new body work!! Anyone have a view on best method?? Much appreciate any guidance, cheers Stuart

Use this or similar.
1 X Car Badge Logo Emblem Badge Logofix High Bond Adhesive Tape 50mm X 300mm | eBay

Worst scenario if you screw up is you dental floss it off and redo.
Do a trial leveller with masking tape first.
Make sure paint is squeaky clean…a wipe with Iso Alc or summat, and heat the tape a wee bit with the hairdryer you keep in the boot.

if its a sticker I generally use soapy water to wet the surface, then apply the sticker, position it as needed and with a card remove the soapy water from underneath. leave it to dry and it should stick.

if you search how to apply stickers on youtube I’m sure you will find videos for reference
