Hi Bruce, not sure TBH what’s happening with the main roof? I’ll take a guess though that it’s all in bits based on what I’ve seen so far
the seals all look to be in excellent condition though? I think I’ve spent enough already without other things!

That’s the thing Mick? First time out and potential for starting the stone chip collection all over again! I’ve posted elsewhere this morning, that I could always start on stickers again!
I’ll get Mrs B organised for catering and I’ll make sure tub is at 40*c for us all!

Talking of which, a few pics of the painted stuff with VIN stickers all intact! I actually never noticed the one on the rear number plate panel before? Now that will never get checked, either at shows or by prospective purchasers? Oh well, here’s just a few pics to illustrate what they’ve done.
In the first pic of rear panel, they’ve done a great job of removing the screw holes where original long number plate was.
Black paint today,
waiting 48hrs for clear coat to harden sufficiently then for full machine polish, once it’s all back together that is! Next Friday/Saturday is the latest revised completion date! They’ve always been upfront about this, taking on other jobs in between etc. This is absolute fine by me and with the weather generally not being too good recently, the car would just have been sat in my garage rather than theirs?

Have you considered PPF for just the high impact areas especially as they do seem to pick up lots of stone chips and you have spent lots on a good paint job?

Last time I checked ( the guys that wrapped my previous NC) it was very expensive? I’ve got to stop spending!
this respray is costing a lot as it is!
I know what you mean though, spend on PPF, save in the long run
Barrie
With the cost of your respray (my mate owns a body shop, so I’ve a good idea how much this is going to cost), I’d certainly consider ‘the extra mile’ with the PPF, Barrie. I know we all get to a point where the spending has to stop tho’.

That’s very interesting DavyF, you might be a winner in the ‘how much did it cost?’ thing!

Barrie
From just a quick search costs would be up to £1000 for the critical areas. I’ve attached a screen shot from a place I found. I have no knowledge of the place and I’m not recommending it, but I thought it might give you an idea of what you can do and where you could protect.

The sad thing for me is that he’s decided to retire early and sell up. No more perks to be had which believe me has saved me a small fortune over the years in so many ways.

get a car spends ££££££’s on it getting it right, then selling at a massive loss!

Seriously impressed with the work being done here. With a decent quality paint put on it should be better than new.
