Just wondering if others have put a bike on the back of the MK1 MX5
If so, what way did you mount it.
MX5 Parts offer a boot mounted bike rack suitable for convertibles. Here’s the link . Only two reviews, but both give it 5 stars.
I’ve seen two ways of carrying bikes. My son uses a Saris Bones bike carrier. I have tow bar which can carry a bike rack.

I had seen the Saris Bones and thought that would work.
If it had a tow bar, it would be easy and have all the lifting wires.
I guess whichever way I go I still have to sort out the lights and connections.
Tow bar is available from Watling Towbars. Very easy to fit, the electrics need care and patience.
I thought about a tow bar in the past.
Not sure I want one on the MX5, the other car has one
Probably just go for a boot mount one.
They have an amazing range of older tow bars including for the Armstrong Siddeley, FX4 Taxi’s back to 1939, Mk1 MX5 and old Farina’s and Bentl to 1927.
