I have a 1998 Roadster RS which should have the Bilstein suspension as standard but I have a notion that a previous owner has converted the suspension back to standard for more comfort. The main thing that trigger my suspicion was that any pictures that i’d seen of the Bilstein shocks where all yellow and mines are black. There is a sticker on the that says ‘NC10 34’ and thought that might mean that they came of an NC/MK3 MX5? Although the number 98 is also printed on the bottom of this sticker which is the year it was made to add further confusion.
The car is mainly used for lanes rallies here in Ireland and the stages can vary from racetrack smooth Tarmac to gravel roads and anything inbetween. If my suspicions are correct would you’s recommend going in search for the Bilstein suspension and getting it reinstalled or are there any better options available that would maybe suit my needs more (that are also relativly low cost)?
Thanks
Liam
