Black Friday treats?

So out of interest… what are people treating themselves too today?

What good “special offers” have we spotted?

Nick

I’ve ordered the Verus engineering bonnet vents for my turbocharged ND, will be putting them on the car in the spring.

Or, if you do any dessert baking today, and it all goes horribly wrong, does that make them Black Friday Treats?

A gazebo off Amazon that had been in my basket for a couple of weeks… and was then reduced by £30 today, owing to Black Friday. It worked; I bought it .

Black Friday is obviously one of these week long days since it’s promoted as 28th November

I’ve been seeing stuff saying black Friday for ages, haven’t a clue what date it’s supposed to be or really care.

Bought some posh orthopedic pillows on a bogof.

Massive injection of brownie points from the wife, who is suffering neck pain.

Win-win

Now I can spend some money on the car in good conscience……

For moi DeWalt 18v chainsaw, hedge trimmer, batteries and charger. Wi-Fi Ear buds as Christmas present for she who must be obeyed. For MX 5 a cap for the one missing on valence or whatever, where NC can leak (replaced and siliconed everything but cap bust, plus a few grommets for wing arch liners. Happy days.

I hope you’ve read the 500-odd one star reviews on Amazon.
Looking at the size of these output leads and crocodile clips, I should think that they would melt at their advertised maximum output should. that ever be reached.
Caveat emptor.

Agreed.

But the way a small booster pack is used normally, one connects it and fiddles about for a couple of minutes during which time the car’s own battery swallows enough juice for one kick of the starter.

Same trick with jump starting from another car. Almost any leads that can carry 10 to 20 amps of top-up and warm-up for a couple of minutes will be sufficient for the car’s battery to supply 300amps for three seconds.

Yes I did.

And a fair few of the 90% of 4 star and above reviews, of the 13,000 plus customers……

Well being as I was in a shopping centre today I spotted some trainers, it said and extra 20% off the last advertised price. The guy at the counter said, the labelling is wrong it should say just 20% off, which apparently is already taken off. Still £25 originally £39 but £59 before that, confusing isn’t it. I bought them anyway.

It got better though, same shoe shop, lady this time, my wife asked can I try the left one to this model trainer please, she took the right one off her to go get the other. They were priced @£14.95, when she came out with the pair she pointed out these are labelled @£29.95. My wife said no they wasn’t they were £14.95, after further discussions she declined the purchase. I thought afterwards, maybe they were priced £14.95 for each foot😁

Amazon has a Black Friday deal on CTek Mxs 5.0 battery charger/conditioner. £65 reduces from £95.

Hopefully will keep the battery sorted while the ND is hibernating in the garage over winter.
