Black wheels

Hi I am thinking of putting some black minilite wheels on my car, could anyone suggest where I could get these, I live in Cumbria they needn’t be minilites something that looks that style my car has 5 wheel studs a 2009 model. Cheers Billy

Ah, the Minilite wheel design — my all time favourite wheel design. Im afraid youll not find any to suit a Mk3 with five stud etc spec.
I`ve looked and looked. What colour is the car, light colours best with dark wheels.

The car is bright red

Good selection here: http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/mazda/mx-5/3rd-gen-nc/16-inch

Thanks Trolface but still like minilites, I was looking at my daughters new mini she has black alloys five stud just wondering if same centres

You can compare wheel specs here: http://www.wheel-size.com/size/

If you get stuck on some of the jargon, it`s explained here: http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg4.html

Watanabe in Japan produce such wheels; you will need to find an importer of these. Not cheap though; expect £1200+ for a set.

Domestic alternative is Image Wheels, which will be split-rim. They have a few different Minilite stles, in the “cast style” 3 piece range; expect to pay £300 per rim.

Wow talking a lot of money there don’t think I can go to that much without a divorce haha

Saz9961, wish you hadnt shown us those Watanabe wheels -- the car in the top pic is same colour as mine, Stormy blue. They look bootiful and I want em!!

Newera are quoting £1730 plus shipping for 4 Watanabe F8F, 5x114.3, 16x7.5 ET35

Compomotive MLs might be cheaper, but are really heavy.

I had Panasports on my Mk1. Don’t know if they do them for a Mk3 but they look great, are much cheaper than Watanabes and look juat like Minilites.

Where are Panasports cheaper than Wats. Last time Moss used to sell these, they were £250 each for the 14". 14" Watanabes don’t cost anywhere the same as the 16" versions.

Think Rota make some wheels which look a bit like minilites but with a deeper dish, think they are called Rota RBs, not sure whether you can get them in Mk3 fitment
