Blown speaker

Hi

Can anyone advise on a faulty door speaker. When all the speakers are on I have a bit of interference and the base is a bit crackly, the fault seems to be coming from the passenger door speaker. However I also have an aux cable plugged in which again cuts in and out and when the sound dips it seems to be the passenger door speaker that is cutting out and all the sound coming from the drivers side.

I know I need to look at the aux cable but in general would replacing the passenger door speaker fix the other issues?? and is it as simple as plugging in a replacement speaker?

I have a MK3 Icon if that helps.

Thanks

Hi Jojo

i recently had this issue with my mk3. i have aparrot kit installed (previous owner) i had n sound from drivers speaker just occasional thudding. turns out it was a loose connection leading from the Central head unit into the “blue box” for the parrot kit.

i would start off by removing the head unit (one large piece) and having a fiddle with the connections behind that. if you have a Bose system check the Amp behind the drivers seat for any corrosion

Cheers
