Blyton 14. Thank you

To All the driver who came for fun , showed each other respect and left the egos at home (or at least till the bar opened !)

To all the committee who vote to give this small (but increasing) aspect of mx5 ownership the support it deserves.

To Roger Mead for his steadfast vision of where the club should be.

To Ian Fleming who is the quite unsung Hero stuck behind a desk all weekend sorting most things out.

And Jon (Smith) Earp (and Louise !) who have taken us from ad hoc shared sessions with the Mg OC to staging a large , well attended , enjoyable 2 day event.

He has forged links with groups that help and promote the club and motorsport therein.

He has done this whilst moving on from his Army career , moving home several times , helping run a fantastic charity and now being the star of Helicopter heroes (which I know he hates). Its been a busy 3 years and your step down is much deserved , but you will be sadly missed in this role.

All the best Jon. See you at Blyton 15 when you can do all the driving you like without having to worry about Marques and porta loos !

And is it really 6 years since we shared a garage together at Oulton park for the first time. Your getting old, But me i’m ever youth full , just fatter.

very well said… Smile

Al,

Just seen this mate, very humbled.

But for the record it’s the folk that run these events that make them happen, anyone can book a tent.

For that thank you Mazda Mender & team, Alan, Ian, Iain, MoT and of course Blyton Park.

Hope to see you all next year.
