Blyton Sprint Championship.

Has anyone seen this and fancy it?

I know its early days and more information is pending, just curious how many people on here use Blyton.

Now she has an MX5 shes keen to show me her heels against my CRX. Same goes for a couple of other CRX owners. Its always a good day there, laid back fun, so… any interest here?

Ive done two sprints at Blyton, one with Javalin and one with MOT.   Both were fun and not too hard on the car.   Our little four man crewe from scunthorpe all have similar mx5’s and its good to go against each other on the clock . I’m guessing that track day rules apply, so it should be fun and cheap to do, unlike proper racing.

When the flag drops the bullsh** stops !!  {#emotions_dlg.smile}

Hi, I also managed to do 2 sprint days with Performance trackdays at Blyton this year. Great fun, although you are trying to beat the others you are also trying to improve your time.

The day was split in half, trackday in the morning to perfect your driving lines and the sprint in the afternoon.

A couple of CRX’s were at these events and  they were pretty good.

I will be doing more next year

Was it a couple of white CRXs? Sounds like it was me and my mate Chris, but we got a grey one along at the last two (one cancelled due to serious rain) as well. The banter from these sprint times is great fun, highly recommended.

Looking to tweak her MX5s gearing a little ready for next years sessions.

 Hi,

yes it was. Were you the one who did the 90mph 360 out of portfroid Sick, I remember some trim went missing off one too, as you say the banter is fantastic and everyone is so friendly. I am at Blyton with Javelin on the 28th for a normal trackday I hope it stays dry and the christmas pud doesn’t add too much ballast. Look forward to seeing you in the new year.

Aye it was me that fell off there. Bravery exceeded talent. It was a wind deflector that flew off, got it back from Richard a few weeks later, its dead, but its a trophy. I think I came 4th or 5th overall after that, so quite pleased seeing as the suspension was a little upset with me. Hoping to improve on that next year after some TLC on the car and some better tyres…

Hopefully put a face to a username next year, we must find time to must mingle more.

Ive posted this link before, its me and my brother having a spinning time at Blyton!

It’s a great little track one of the safest places to push your luck Shock

Anybody have any ideas of dates for these ?

Heres the info I was given -

We wanted to come up with a formula that removed all the class structure
and complication so that literally everyone has a chance of taking away
a prize.

So there is a prize for the fastest lap of the day. Yes if you want to
come down in a Radical SR8 on slicks they you are most likely to walk
away with the fastest lap of the day, unless someone comes in something
equally bonkers.

The next prize of for the fastest average over 4 runs. This puts the
pressure on because you have to be fast and clean. Touch a cone or go
off track in your Radical, and unless all of your competitors do the
same, fastest average has just slipped away. Weather can come into play
and really shake things up, but that is motorsport.

The final main prize is the most consistent. Speed is not the factor
here but how close each of your times are. Four laps all within half a
second, even if it is on your bicicle, and you are in with a very good
shot.

And of course we will have our car of the day award and probably some others like “giving it death” off the start award.

It is designed to be fun, accessable to all, with genuine chances of winning a prize, even if you are in the company diesel.

Dates:
