Hi MX5ers

 

I’ve see a few MX5s around with just the Mazda symbol in the middle, and the both the “Mazda” and “MX5” badges removed from the boot. I like the clean look and to me it appears very sleek and uncluttered without all those badges on the back.

I understand warming up the badge and then flossing them off is the way forward, but what about paint fade? My car is a 2009 and while I do think that there has been very little if any paint fade I’ll only find out once the badges are off.

Has anyone else done this and experienced a darker shade of paint left underneath?

If it all goes horribly wrong you can always put them back with some new 3M tape.

yes A LOT easier than expected…you’ll be fine , get them whipped off
