Hi my boot mat neads cleaning whats the best way.

Can I put it in the washing machine

If yours is like mine, felt, I think the washer would be too severe. I’ve done mine on the garage floor with washing powder and a scrubbing brush, then hosed it off and hung over the washing line to dry. Clean as a whistle.

All purpose cleaner sprayed on, then give it a good stiff brush and then wet vac it to dry, leave it to dry finally and then put fabric protection on.

You can, but, it will not clean it, and when it spins it will most certainly be out of balance!  Scrub with either Fairy Liquid, needs plenty of rinsing, or a carpet cleaner such as 1001. Is that still around?  Whatever you do scrub with an old fashioned bristle nail brush, nothing plastic or nylon.

Done mine today with good old pound shop carpet cleaner (Astonish) that stuff gets out most stains/muck.

For most removeable carpets I clean with the above then rinse with a hose and hang to dry.
