Which is the best to buy or can I use my old one from my mk1 any ideas thanks

You cannot use any boot rack on a Retractable Hardtop Car

The cover panel bangs into it

The Mazda NC soft top boot rack will fit on the boot of a Roadster Coupe. You have to fit it slightly further back than the instructions say for it to clear the rear cover but it does work, although it does seem to flex the boot skin a bit where it mounts, as the curve of the boot on a soft top is different to that on a Roadster Coupe.

I was referring to a MK3 rack, not your MK1 rack.
