Boot water leak - Not the Rain Rail.

Hi there,

My girlfriend has just picked up a mx5 mk1 1.8  Preg UK (not eunos). Very different from my Eunos S spec 93…

It has a leak a water gets in the boot. I check the water comes from a gap between the rear light and the bodywork. The car wasn’t damage and appears to be in it original condition, no apparent mods.

See the picture with the arrow showing the gap letting water in.

On the MX5parts website, I saw some pictures showing some sort on plastic pits which are not on the car.

 

Any idea how I could fix this and part that may be needed?

I did a quick search on here and it  seems it needs rear light rubber seal. Mx5 parts seems to be out of stock. Any idea where I could get 2 pcs off?

 Go to your friendly Mazda dealer and order the foam gasket the light unit sits on
