Hi,

Really interested in this! One question, could my ten year old son come along? Or is there ‘Health and Safety’ issues?

I am reading the price as £59, is that correct?

 Hi Paul,

As per our converstation today, we don’t have a problem with children in cars providing they can fit a proper seat belt, so no booster cushion and can fit a proper helmet.

The other very obvious issue is that we will require you to supervise him at all times and as just a general principal ensure that he has his seat belt and helmet properly fastened before you leave the paddock area. We will check at the start line but we can’t see everything.

We do have small (adult) helmets that you can hire.

Does it cost anything to just come along and watch ?

Not a sausage, although we might ask you to make us a cup of tea every now and again, especially if we look cold!

Adding to that we would ask that you let us know you are coming as we shut the gates for security to prevent anyone just wandering. Beyond the issues with people possessions there are the safety issues of uncontrolled spectators etc

Nice idea to do a car control course just as crashing season has started. Every driver should do something like this.

It’s funny because we never thought of it that way, but I was talking to a car breakers that specialises in MK-5’s as I needed a new engine and he said “I only have two at the moment but of course that will change over the next few weeks.” It took a second for it to click what he meant.

Really interested in this, how many places are left?

Have to get the all clear from the better half first though.

No problem at the moment

Brilliant!

Not often I can make these due to work commitments but I just happen to have some time off around about then Wink

I want to do one of these days, but I’m a bit worried about what it entails.  Can I come down and watch for a few hours?

Of course you can.

It involves a bit of this

Some of this

A bit of this

some of this

Some identity crisis

Much cool photographies

And lots and lots of fun

Looks brilliant.  What time do you want spectators ther for Nick?

We need to change that name to Mrs Ontrack

We would like people there that want to watch for 9:30 please as we do need to give you our little safety pep talk too. It goes along the lines of “our snipers will pick you off if you wander where you shouldn’t go as it makes a mess of the cars if they hit you.” So it is a good idea to know where not to go! {#emotions_dlg.msgagree}

Also, we have never had anyone turn up and not eventually want to get in a car as a passenger. We can only allow that if you sign on and we need to do that before 9:30. It costs £10 which you can pay on the day, but it is worth it.

Im confused Nick (or is it the brandy) mot site says £59.00 for members, then on the website it says £85.00 for members and £99.00 for non members !!!!!! can you clarify the member and non member price please as I would like to do this as Iam always really bored over christmas.

Mikey

Help me out here, were are you looking at £99 and £85? Welcome to track?

I’d be interested, however…

I’m 6’3" and barely fit in with the roof up - no chance with a pisspot on…so the roof would have to be down. If it were to be hanking down with rain I’d be really un-interested in getting sopping wet - what options are there?

Any possibility of organising one of these events further north? Perhaps Elvington airfield or somewhere similar?

Let me be the first to jump on Nigel’s bandwagon - a day (or even a half-day) at Elvington would be certain to generate some Northern enthusiasm. I’ve been to several ‘normal’ airfield track days there arranged through the guys at Javelin Motorsport, but never in my MX5. Elvington is a great, safe venue, with almost limitless run-off … unless your name’s Hammond, of course.

Eeh, I can feel my wallet finger twitching already.
