Bose amp deletion? NC3.5

  1. My model of MX-5 is: NC3.5
  2. I’m based near: Benfleet, Essex
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: I intend to remove the standard Bose head unit and replace with a Kenwood ddin unit. However, I am unsure whether to retain the Bose amp or not, any thoughts?
    Also, if I do remove the amp, i will need to install new speakers. There are 7 as far as I am aware, what would be the ideal setup if running from the new head unit?

Leave the Bose set up in and just get the correct installation leads etc to install the Kenwood.
I had a JVC fitted (same company Kenwood/JVC) and the sound was great coming through the Bose set up.
It’s a great deal of work to remove everything Bose.

Agree with MickAP - get a head unit with 4 x pre-outs and wire it in to use the Bose amp.
