Botslab 3K 4-channel dashcam in ND3?

  1. My model of MX-5 is: ND3 RF Homura in Soul Red Crystal
  2. I’m based near: Oxford
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: possible fitting of a Botslab 3K 4-channel dashcam

First post here (but this is my third MX-5, and I’ve been driving them for over 20 years now!). Having just taken delivery of my latest pride and joy, I’m looking at having a hardwired dashcam (with parking mode) professionally fitted - my last Maxie having been damaged several times whilst parked (supermarket trollies etc rather than other vehicles, I suspect). I’m particularly taken with the Botslab 3K 4-channel system due to its adjustable side cameras that enable a 360-degree view around the car, as well as the conventional front and rear views:

Has anyone any experience of fitting such a dashcam to an ND3? I am aware that the rear-view mirror and the housing in front of it do not allow a great deal of space for this…

Don’t know about that brand but I found out after I picked the car up that while the dashcam fitted by the dealer is excellent, the app is almost completely useless and the footage on the memory card won’t play on any of the dozen media players I’ve tried on my laptop.
Go to the app store and read the reviews for the product first.
