I’m the new proud owner of this little thing. Not much in the way of service history, so I was just wondering if it’s a known car on from perhaps a previous owner being a member?

Don’t know the car, but it looks really good. Is it as good as it looks? My Mk1 looks great in pictures like this, but get up close and not so much. Nice colour - shame about the wheels, so I agree, need something else.

Mariner Blues are pretty rare these days.
However, given it’s typical “rights of passage” MOT “CV” I expect you will be doing a nose to tail under-cracker inspection & issue fixing…you did say you had plans.
If it’s a keeper go to war on any chassis & suspension rot you find.
Been there…believe me!

Yeah recent respray while under the custody of Simon Bloxham in Desford. Great guy to deal with.
Underneath good too, but defo the usual brown suspension components!
