Greetings! It’s my first post in the forum and I have some questions about getting my brake pads changed.
Just had my MOT last month for 06 2.0 NC and got an advisory for rear brake pads wearing thin, may I ask if anyone has any recommendation for garage that is reliable for the job around Liverpool area, please? I don’t have a driveway so it’s not possible for me to change it myself. Also how much would be a reasonable price for the rear ones, or all 4?
Pads say £25 and an hours work to change them say £50 per hour. Total around £80 at a non Mazda garage, nearer £140 at a Mazda garage. Double that for back and front. That assues the brake fluid is less than 2 years old if it is older and £50 to change the fluid.
Thank you very much for both of your replies, so far I got a quote from ATS tyres for £84 rears fitted. Seems a bit dear Quoted £75 for rear from local garage, might just go for that one as it’s close to where I live. Thank you again.
If the brake fluid has not been flushed recently at that age the cars tend to get rusted caliper pistons. When was the last time it was flushed. New pistons fitted a bit over £100. Bleeding is cheaper!
