Brake Upgrade For Tracking Supercharged NC

  1. My model of MX-5 is: __NC2
  2. I’m based near: __Surrey
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __I’m considering getting the stage 1 BBR supercharger (250bhp) fitted to my NC2.
I currently doe two or three track days a year and have upgraded brake fluid & Roddison’s pads - this setup works perfectly for me.
Will my current brake setup cope with the increased power? Or if not, how do I need to upgrade my setup to cope?
    Thanks.

personally I think its fine. the speed you will achieve during braking depends on the circuit and the speed you can carry into the braking zone. If you have a very long straight with a very heavy braking at the end of that then perhaps you ought to think about it. Its probably something I would do if I experience an issue with brake fade etc. However I think simply changing the brake pads and brake fluid to race spec as you did would be fine for the occasional trackday. If you had a dedicated track car yea I’d say go for it.
