Just received an email that confirms that next year the Silverstone Classic will return. As soon as we have more details will post them as they come.
“With Silverstone Festival making way for CarFest over the August Bank Holiday weekend in 2026, we have another exciting update for our summer events schedule.
We are pleased to confirm that over the last weekend in July, historic motorsport will be celebrated on the iconic Grand Prix circuit with a reimagined version of the Silverstone Classic for historic motorsport fans. It will also bring together classic car displays from across the car club community and we hope to see you there!”
Sadly No.
I have now approached them as part of a group of Clubs after we have all individually heard very little and replies from Silverstone and BRDC are not very positive at all.
Unfortunately the team that used to deliver the Classic / Festival over previous years are no longer involved - so this event and CarFest which are replacing the previous event are in the hands of new people, who appear to have no knowledge of what has gone before.
I am pursuing both the events, and will update as soon as possible, but as we are already a month into 2026 and the answers so far are a bit concerning, I am not hugely confident at the moment.
Yes, I emailed them too about what plans were , but generally, not on behalf of this or my other car club. . Even if there is no car club presence per se I do hope they maximise infield parking (there is certainly the space to do so ) as I could do without the inevitable route marches from car to chosen viewing spots. I guess there won’t be any buses either and although only the ‘heritage ‘ (ie orginal) pits are being used , I enjoy some of the infield viewing out at Vale and Club. I think as an event it will be fine - more ‘the right crowd and no crowding ‘ with the lack of Festival distractions .
Further update from Silverstone events team: they are planning on offering car club discounted tickets for the BRDC classic. Hoping to release them by the end of February.
Update from Woodlands Camping Team: Camping pitches need to be booked directly with Woodlands campsite. They will be released soon (sorry no dates provided). They recommend subscribing to their mailing list which can be found at the bottom of their web site www.silverstonewoodlands.co.uk
We completely understand that people are keen for updates, and we know it’s frustrating not to have firm details yet.
We’re actively engaged in conversations with the new organisers and relevant parties, and as soon as there is confirmed information regarding dates, tickets, club stands or member offers, we will share it immediately.
We completely understand everyone wanting clarity, but until details are finalised it’s easy for mixed messages to arise, which can unintentionally create confusion and ask for a little patience while discussions continue behind the scenes.
When there is something concrete to announce, you’ll hear it here.
It’s also worth setting expectations early: this event will not be a carbon copy of previous years.
The ownership and organisation have changed, and with that comes a different structure and budget. The emphasis is shifting back toward the historic racing elements, creating a more focused and grounded format.
That doesn’t mean it won’t be worthwhile at all, completely the opposite. Just that it will be different.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
We’ve had a number of enquiries about the show and the ticket offer that is due to close shortly, so I wanted to provide a clear update.
At present, we do not have a club package arranged for this event, and there is no confirmed opportunity for us to secure one at this stage. The new organisers only contacted us this week to ask whether we might be interested in being involved.
It’s fair to say that, during the transition of the event’s organisation, clubs do not appear to have been part of the early planning process. That’s reflected in the way tickets have been released directly to the public without club packages being put in place . Unfortunately, this isn’t unique to this event — we’re seeing similar across several major national events this year.
At this point, I’m unable to confirm whether there will be a club offer or club stand available for this year’s Classic event.
If you’re keen to attend, my recommendation is to take advantage of the current ticket deal before it ends. Should a club package opportunity arise later, we will press the organisers to ensure that members who have already purchased tickets are either included within any club arrangement or that early ticket prices are honoured or matched accordingly.
I appreciate that this is not the straightforward position we would prefer, and I will continue to push for better engagement with clubs.
Some news ! on the newly titled BRDC Silverstone Classic 24-26 July.
Thank you for registering for the BRDC Classic 2026. We are delighted to confirm that your application has been accepted. Tickets have not yet gone on sale, but as soon as the ticket website is live, your members will be able to access the fantastic car club display package offer (two adult admission tickets for the price of one and one vehicle display pass).
We will notify you as soon as we are on sale which is likely to be in the next few weeks.
Thanks. I took advantage of the early bird discount before the deadline. That was before the car club deal was announced , as Silverstone was till fannying around . I want the advantages of a car club ticket, parkig especially, but I don’t want to have to buy another damned ticket . I’m happy to take this up with Silverstone but just checking to see if this point had been already addressed .
I am sure that there will be some solution. Have put it into correspondence already, but the process just opened yesterday and I made sure to get the club registered, so could update here asap. there will be updates soon and as soon as there is will get it posted. I’d wait until there is further updates before contacting them as their team are busy getting things moving.
It’s now a partnership with the events team that used to manage the event and Silverstone themselves now and just taking time to set things up.
We’re excited to announce that Car Club packages for the 2026 Classic at Silverstone are now officially on sale!
This year’s event returns to its roots, celebrating everything that made it special—top-tier historic racing on the full GP circuit, alongside one of the UK’s largest gatherings of classic cars and passionate enthusiasts. Expect a fantastic atmosphere with club displays, trade stands, and live entertainment throughout the weekend.
Exclusive Club Offer:
Two adult admission tickets for the price of one
Infield car display pass to park on the Club stand
Important – Act Fast:
With the event scaling back to its original format, infield space is more limited than in recent years. This means fewer display passes are available across all clubs.
We do not have a fixed allocation—our club space is based on how many members book. Once infield passes are gone, the chance to take advantage of the offer and display your car inside the circuit is gone.
Don’t miss out—secure your place as soon as possible.
Used the club code and we’re now booked in for Saturday at £40.00 for two people and infield pass on e-tickets.
My old Silverstone password from last year still works.
There is a countdown timer (20mins?), so have details ready, like password, reg number and payment card etc.
Happy.
