I got this part with a lot of other, mainly MK1 parts. May not be anything to do with an MX5 but can anyone identify it; the seller could not and a couple of learned colleagues stumped as well.
Clearly a fuel related part but no electrical connection, sensor aside, so how can it be a pump and looks too well engineered and small to be a filter but what else can it be. There are no part numbers or any other identifying marks that I can see. Tick up to the person who can put their finger on it.
Just a guess, but it could be a fuel pressure regulator, the yellow pipe will be plumbed in on the down (pressurised) side of the inlet, increasing fuel pressure as boost increases? I think I remember something similar on an old (carburettor) turbo installation I had years ago.
