Can Anyone Recommend a garage for servicing etc in Colchester, Essex area?

Hi

I am new to the joys of MX5 motoring, having just recently bought an '02 1.8 Sport and I haven’t enjoyed driving as much as I did this weekend for about 30 years. What brilliant little cars these are!

However whilst my car has a FSH, it is about 10 months since the last service and I think I should get it seen to sooner rather than later. Also I have noticed that the car is quite noisy when going over the crater strewn excuse for a road that I live on - not really noticeable on normal roads, but better safe than sorry.

So with that in mind, can anyone recommend a specialist garage in the Colchester/Chelmsford area, or should I just let the local main Mazda dealer do the work?

Any suggestions would be really welcome, many thanks.

BC Cars in Haverhill has done work on both mine and my sons cars.

 

He did my Fast Road Setup at a reasonable rate and knows MX5’s inside and out.

A service will not show loose or broken suspension components, book your self a pre MOT test where the tester will physically get hold of and inspect the running gear.

The car passed an MOT with no advisories only three months ago so hopefully there will be nothing too serious, but as I said, better safe than sorry. Thanks.
