Hi there,
Can you help?

Trying to find out the story behind my ‘slightly unusual’ 14” alloys on my 1996 Mk1 NA. The car appears to be a standard UK version 1.8 but with a number of factory/dealer fitted extras. Has anyone come across this type of 9 spoke alloys before? Where they available through Mazda UK at the time? Anyone got an old accessories brochure from that time?
And what about these wheel badges? Haven’t yet found anything like them on a net search! And one has deteriorated so I need to find a replacement.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Chris
PS. My apologies if this has been asked before; I have done a reasonable search on the forum but nothing came back.
Not sure but wouldn’t a picture of the wheel help?
Barrie
EDIT: anyway
they were made by these guys http://roh.com.au and are Australian. There was a set for sale on eBay, well gone now.
here you go http://m.g.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-MX5-MK1-ROH-14-Alloy-Wheels-with-Tyres-185-60R14-/282121949786?nav=SEARCH
might be worth contacting seller?
They are Mazda UK suppllied accessory wheels.
Thanks, Guys;
Yes, Bettabuilda; should have posted a better picture, like this one.

And now you mention it, ROH is embossed on the wheel! Doh!
Thank you Robbie, I spent all night worrying that my alleged UK car was somehow an Aussie import; otherwise why would it have Aussie Wheels on it (when they don’t seem to have a UK distributer)?
So they are/were a Mazda UK supplied accessory! That fits with the car; which seems to be a standard 1996 1.8 but with a number of pukka accessories fitted.
Now, all I need to do is track down a new central badge!!!

Many thanks for your help, Gents!
All the best
Chris
Right, glad that’s sorted for you
regarding the badge, if the actual centre cap is OK, I once looked into getting some custom ones made up and found a seller on eBay who would/could make something to your design from an image? They weren’t resin domed affairs, just plain vinyl but that “looks” like what you have or similar anyway. Worth following up?
Barrie
Hi Barrie,
Yes, definitely as the central cap is OK.

Will have a trawl through ebay!
Thanks again
Chris
These guys are near to me but a long way from you!
