Car Control Day. Saturday 24th September. Rockingham

The latest instalment of our Car Control Days is at Rockingham on the 24th September.

There are lots of forum posts and real life experiences of drivers losing control and venturing into the scenery with resultant damage to their cars and sometimes worse. As Autumn is nearly on us, with damp slippy roads and tyres that have been enjoyed vigorously though the summer, it is more than worth knowing what to do if the back end steps out on you, you find yourself sliding wide on a roundabout or both.

Don’t end up like this.

Our car control days allow you to experience and practice controlling situations when you may find yourself the other side of the grip limit of your tyres. They are also great fun and we have hosted hundreds of MX-5 owners over the years, all of who have left a more experienced driver.

We still have a few spaces left on this day. Happy if you want to turn up on the day with cash!

Sign on will be in U1 of the Rockingham complex.

Thank you Nick - a great day with a great bunch!

A lot learned, but still so much more to learn of course -  Practise makes perfect.

Re-confirmed my belief in the Nankang NS2R performance - even at 50psi they wouldn’t let go easily.

But when switched to tyres of questionable quality, what a difference; great fun for the car-control experience, but they’d be lethal for real-road-conditions.

If you’ve ever wondered how you suddenly found yourself facing the wrong way on the road after exiting a roundabout, and want to know how to react, to avoid it happening again, MOT’s car control days are a great place to find out… and great fun as well.

Cheers, Tim
