Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some mats for my ND as annoyingly I didn’t get any with the car when I got it. Ideally, I’d want the special Icon edition mats for my Icon, but I know they are hard to find - anyone got any recommendations for any alternatives: do I get the OEM ones or is it better to get good aftermarket ones?

OEM or aftermarket would you say?
Either, their own brand are very good quality as long as you like their logo. The rubber ones do ‘smell’ to start with but it eventually disappears.
Well, I had the ‘standard’ genuine mazda ND carpet mats (MX5 parts only seem to do the left hand drive version on their site?), which despite many a user saying they wear through/poor longevity etc, I found them fine, and looked ok after about 14Kmiles. I then purchased the ‘luxury ones’ as a ‘treat’.
which must have been a good 70% more money. However, I find these ‘catch’ your clutch foot as you come off the clutch (as you kind of push the pedals in on the MX-5 due to the seating position, as opposed to press down on a ‘normal’ car), so I had to adjust my technique.
Personally I prefer the standard OEM ones, compared to the ‘luxury’ ones.
Funnily enough, I have a set of Icon mats in my garage. I bought to “save” my AE30 ones for winters and never got around to swapping. Bought from Mx-5 parts with OEM label. For the right consideration…
