Just a little heads up next Tuesday’s (6th December ) Car Sos will be an MX5 ??
Good, I think I missed this, wasn’t it on National Geographic earlier this year. Didn’t have that channel then.
More 4 BTW
Thanks for heads up. What time/channel is that?
Barry
I quite enjoy watching that show, even though it is totally fake. They say they have only a week or two weeks to complete the car, yet some of the other cars from other shows are sitting about in the background in various states of repair. Harmless fun though.
Looking forward to seeing the programme, its on at 2100 Tuesday. Probably be in the same state as mine.
I have already set the timer to record it just in case I miss it!!
I found it on Sky channel 138
Looking forward to watching it
I saw this one for the MX5 a while ago, a rather unwell gentleman got his MX renovated and turbo’d… but I do wonder just how the recipient will get on with obtaining insurance and driving it. His daughter appeared rather nervous on his test drive!
Whatever, the best of luck to him and the car will certainly be worth a fair bit more if he sells it.
Sorry forgot to say channel More4 at 2100hrs ??
You’ve spotted those as well have you! I wonder if the owner of the Triumph Mayflower (which is what I think it is) in the corner of the workshop got fed up of waiting - it seems to have been there through multiple series.
Back to the MX5 - I was expecting another rust-bucket-should-be-a basket-case story - but no corrosion on a 25 yr old Eunos?
my father owned both a triumph renown and a triumph mayflower in the 1950s.I think the one in the car sos programme might be a renown but I stand to be corrected regards Jack

sorry my typing is not the best tonight
Who was the guy who did the turbo & where is he?
I’d quite like to boost my MK2 1.8 but the cost is a BIG thing

Until this year I loved watching this show, however my bubble was burst when I saw one of the people who was apparently very ill and could hardly walk at Donnington classic car auction buying more cars!!.
This guy was on the show with walking sticks and looked near to death… however he was almost running around the cars during the auction.
In my opinion the show is a little fake and created to fix up cars for the sake of a TV show.
Don’t get me wrong I like the show and you get some good tips, however I don’t believe the sob story anymore…
Enjoy…!
Saw this episode today for the second time(!), after a friend reminded me it was on. Strangely enough, C4 website is saying the show was first shown December 2016, but I’ve definitely seen this one some time ago. How could anyone forget the blue wheels…what WERE they thinking…
I watched it and saw it was dated 2006. I then looked up the reg J312RTT in Vehicle Smart (DVLA App) and it does not exist in DVLA’s records.
Perhaps it has been re-numbered? Or written off? (guessing).
