Hi All, Looking to Carbon Wrap my bonnet on my Mk3. Has anyone got any experience doing this and which would be the best vinyl to use. Going to be my first attempt so something easy to apply please.
This was so easy to apply! Just drove it in to the shop and picked it up later! Seriously though, Avery Denison 3D Carbon wrap, I don’t have the actual number for this so Google might help you. Only thing I would say is make sure any chips etc are filled and smoothed prior to application. I did the prep myself and any flaws will show If not sorted. My carbon wrap is quite thick compared to the red wrapped areas so won’t be as susceptible to slight blemishes showing through I guess.

I have some carbon wrap available. Was going to wrap my bonnet and a few other parts but never got round to it. Must be 2 x 1.5 meters of it if I remember correctly . Yours for £20. I’m just off junction 5 of the M5.
Thanks Barrie, it was seeing yours that gave me the idea. Mine was badly painted previously and although I’ve had it blown over it still isn’t right.
