Hello I am trying to find a plate or lock of some sort to help stop cat theft while I am on holiday with my car? Does anyone have any recommendations for a good protection plate or lock to help prevent theft of the catalyst…?
If you are still one of the few MK2.5 owners left with an original Mazda cat, consider yourself lucky. I would remove it and replace with an aftermarket part that will not attract thieves like bees to a honeypot, as soon as possible.
The worth of these cats really mean that any deterrent ie. lock/plate, etc will just cost you more, draw attention and result in that being stolen too and more damage being done in the process.
