Hi All
I’am thinking of changing my 2007 NC to a ND, any tip or thoughts.
Keep the NC in the family if possible, go buy the ND
My NC (2006) has been great, its been 100% reliable, It’s been the cheapest and also the most enjoyable sports car I’ve ever owned. Everything works as it should nothing goes wrong and its been very cheap to run. (and I’ve owned some of the most desirable sports cars you can buy).
However because its been so good I’ve now brought (well, I get it Thursday) a much newer 2023 ND2 MX5, my reasoning being I want one of the best (and probable the last) of the normally aspirated cars that I can keep for a very long time. I hope I enjoy it as much as my old NC.
When test-driving the ND’s , I didn’t think there was a big enough step up unless going for the ND2.
(the 1.5 is lovely to drive but not quick enough for me).
Go and try a few examples local to you, see how you get on - in terms of fit and comfort etc. Some find that the NC cabin is more compatible for them
Also in terms of budget, ND1 vs. ND2, 1.5 vs. 2.0, roadster vs. RF - plenty of variables to consider…
Cheers,
Steve
