Channel 4 to be privatised? your thoughts

You do not require a TV license if you do not watch live tv, including BBC iplayer. The iplayer is the only streaming service that you need a license for. On demand services do not need a tv license, so you can watch all the catch up programmes on ITV/C4/C5 as long as it is not live. The tv ‘inspectors’ are just door to door salesmen with no power of entry unless they come with a court warrant. We binned our license recently, no doubt they’ll come knocking at some point and will be told politely to go away.
