if you look on the right hand side of the new filter mount there are two pulgs originally designed for sensors i believe. i was going to use one of these to drain the filter down when it has an oil change. it will also be easier to clean up where it is now.
whichever way the filter is mounted you will always get oil spilled as if i fitted it upside down then the hoses above are still filled and that will drain out as soon as you remove the filter
I noticed a loose hose today as the car was up on the ramps, it was dangling over the driver’s side steering gear boot. It comes from the bottom of the charcoal canister and has a connector on the end that clips into something. Some of you have mentioned it clips into the inner wing, but the hose is perfectly straight with no bends so I don’t see how this could be? Here are some pics of mine…
