Would I be ok to remove chassis braces to clean and repaint / powder coat them but, drive the car locally to drop them off and collect?
If it’s local , steady away , mindful of speed humps , I’d probably do it
Not saying it’s correct to do so but I really can’t see how a few miles would cause any issues

Thank you I thought as much, its probably 2 miles max on a straight road with a few speed bumps, I could walk with them just unsure of the weight for all of them.

No problem at all.
Because I am curious, I have measured movement of the front suspension turrets, with and without braces, with car supported at 3 suspension mountings, and adjusting a jack at the fourth. There is almost no displacement when going from equally distributed load to no load on diagonal corners.
The suspension turret braces are for show and to stop some rattles.
