Plans now at an advanced stage for the National Rally to be held at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire on 19th September 2010.
Accommodation at he Beauchief Hotel, where the Saturday (18th) evening's entertainment will be held, is now fully booked on Saturday night. sorry

The other hotel, close by, is The Sheffield Park Hotel, they currently have rooms available at the special rate of £69 per room, the cost includes breakfast, but excludes any other meals.

You will need to quote "MAZDA 18" in order to receive the agreed rate.  www.pedersenhotels.com

If however, you prefer to camp Barlow Lakes has been chosen as the main site - www.barlowlakes.co.uk

The other recommendation is Barn Farm on the outskirts of Birchover, nr Matlock - www.barnfarmcamping.com

Two organised drives have been arranged for the daytime on Saturday; with the evening entertainment of a live band in the marquee situated in the Beauchief Hotel grounds being on offer.

There will also be a home made pie and pea supper at The Beauchief, to help you dance the night away to the sounds of a live band, for just £10 a person.

The Rally itself will take place on the Sunday at beautiful Chatsworth; a 20 minute drive from the hotels.

Your membership card will also entitle you to receive discounts in the gift shop.

The rally site opens at 9:00, to avoid congestion Chatsworth have requested that the majority of the MX5's are on the rally site before 10:30.

We appreciate that some members will be driving a conciderable distance to attend, (or may be suffering from the excesses of the night before) and this may not be possible

If you would like a different sort of lunch, Chatsworth will provide a special picnic hamper prepared by their own chefs,

For £13.50 per person, you could be tucking in to a crayfish and Caesar salad sandwich, farm shop pork pie with onion marmalade, Hartington stilton and pickles, a salad of haricot beans, green beans and roasted vegetables, piper’s sea salt crisps, strawberries and clotted cream and a bottle of Belvoir elderflower cordial, this is no ordinary picnic, this is a MX5 Owners Club Chatsworth Picnic.

Hampers and tickets for the evening entertainment, and transfers will need to be pre-ordered via the booking form in the spring edition of Soft Top Hard Top.

It is hoped that many hundreds of MX-5s will attend the Rally, the usual traders will be in attendance.

Updates will posted each month on this Forum, and published in Soft Top Hardtop.

It is really a wonderful place for a rally and Peaks and Pennines are looking forward to welcoming everyone to their Area.

Members, friends and family arriving in other than MX5's will be asked to park in the main Chatsworth Car Park (£2.00) situated 250 yds from the rally venue.

Please remember to bring your MX-5 Owners Club membership card with you to gain free entry into the Rally Site and discounted entry into Chatsworth House and gardens.
