They’re stainless, good looking and £129:00
They look exactly the same as the MX5 heaven exhaust that is £295 so what am I missing here?
Has any body fitted one? are they easy to install? What do they sound like?

This subject has popped up before on this forum. If I recall correctly, the common consensus is that basically one gets what one pays for. In other words a cheap part will quite likely suffer from inferior materials and workmanship in its construction. But, the proof of the pudding…
You pays your money and makes your choice.
I totally get the phrase, ‘you pays your money…etc’ but in this particular case the choice is between two identical exhausts, one of which is £160 more than the other!
If they were a better quality stainless steel or coated in unicorn skin I would understand!
Has anyone on here actually bought the cheaper one and compared it to the other?
Do you mean the manifolds?
I bought one of the cheap eBay manifolds and also an IL Motorsport one. Side by side, they were very similar in terms of quality and I wouldn’t be surprised if they came from the same factory.
Toyosport is quite a popular brand across many vehicles.
No, back box. It’s identical to the MX5 Heaven one.
Just type Mazda MX5 mk3 exhaust into EBay, you‘ll see it. Someone on here must have fitted one at that price.
Ah, yeah I have seen those. I would also be interested to know what they are like. I’ve got a Cobalt one. With the standard manifold it is not much louder than standard but enough to make a noticeable noise. With the decat manifold I mentioned it is much louder. I know these can be had failry cheap from time to time on Moss.
I fitted a toyosport dual exit back box to mk 2.5. Very pleaded with it, the fit & finish is very good. Not very loud though if this is what you want.
I’m thinking of a new back box, kicked myself for not getting the Cobalt on offer before Xmas at £180. They do have one in stock on their eBay shop but back up to £275.
I did consider the Toyo cheapy, i had one on my Rx8 which was good but reading a few reviews on another forum the build quality can vary and some having the hangers fall off and tip spacing can be an issue. Think I’ll wait and see what Moss come up with when they get a big delivery as i prefer the tips on the Colbolt.

You’ve probably read the same reviews that I have seen Rich.
I think it is this inconsistency of quality that is the real problem - you might be lucky and get a good one, but the opposite is also true of course. I would be interested in a back box assembly with a little more ‘presence’ to it, but am very wary of cheap units. However, if as the OP states, this £129.00 unit is indeed exactly the same make as the one costing £295.00 from a different dealer, then anyone would be daft to pay the higher price.
