Hello,

What does the ‘log book’ say. Limited editions are usually very specific in the ‘model’ section.
Hi thanks
Log book says G Launch, that’s all I have so far. All others I see have the plate between the seats, but I read this might come as a loose item in the handbook when new, so someone has to stick on.
Have. NC at mo and looking to add an RF.
Are you looking to confirm the car is in fact a RF launch edition?
Or
has the launch edition been confirmed to your satisfaction and you simply want to know it’s number e.g mine is 387 of 500
I am assuming the latter?
Hi, thanks for the comment.
On basis the log book checks out then knowing it’s number would be nice, but I’ve yet to inspect.
Seems odd/shame it’s not labelled up as others seems to be. This is potentially the second like this I’ve seen recently.
I had a Quick Look on mine. Nowhere is the number noted on the car other than the plaque as far as I can see. There is a launch edition sticker on inside of drivers door but no number I’m afraid
Cheers Andy, appreciate the help.
Guess I’m figuring does not having an edition record a detractor or not. Quite surprised there is no VIN to edition record else anyone could convert and imitate to unsuspecting buyers.
It would be pretty uneconomical to convert imo. I’m not sure it would stack up from a scam / fraud perspective
If you look at forum a set of recaro seats are currently going for £3k on eBay. Then you would need to get all the alcantara trim too. The wheels are also super expensive £680 RRP. Maybe in the future when there are more recaro seats around with introduction of homura spec and ability to spec seats but even then seems unlikely for a good while
However I have to say I have never seen a single one advertised without the plaque in place on the car
Also I sent you a DM
That’s folks, yep I guess as the plate is just something the owner adds at new, I guess it would be a tad daft to pass off, just a shame if lost, it does have a sticky back
Interestingly another I’m looking at with same issue was found in it bag in the owners manual, so there you go. Some suggestions and persistence paid off on that one which is on the very short list.
Seems like a few don’t do many miles and peps have been skipping the annual service, so like three years on same oil and 2k MLS, makes you wonder what the risk is.
Anyways, appreciate the advice and input, many thanks.
