Christmas Market - Bury St. Edmunds. 30th November

Following on from our successful run to Brands Hatch,

Our next Run is to Bury St. Edmunds Christmas Market.
Sunday 30th November, 2008

Bury St Edmunds Fifth Annual Christmas Fayre has adopted a Victorian theme this year. The Christmas Fayre has an idyllic setting in the town centre attracting visitors from all around. With colourful stalls selling local produce and crafts as well as traders from around the UK and mainland Europe, traditional fairground rides and on-stage entertainment it is undoubtedly the most popular in East Anglia.

The Christmas Fayre is open from 10.00 am until 5.00 pm and there is good value parking close to the town centre and a park and ride service will also operate. For more details and a list of the traders who will be there please see http://www.burystedmundschristmasfayre.co.uk/

If you would like to come along please send an e-mail to eric.terry@virgin.net. This will not only give me an idea of how many are going but will also enable me to send you the route in advance and also ensure we don’t set off without you. I will plan a scenic route through the Essex and Suffolk countryside.

So who is going so far?

Me and Bren
Diane and David
Ian
Charmain
Cliff and Rosie
Colin and Margaret
Stuart and Joanne
Peter and Nicola
Andrew & Gillian
Drew & Dee

We have 10 cars so far for the run up to the Bury St. Edmunds Christmas market on Sunday 30th November.
The plan is to meet at the McDonalds car park at Junction 19 on the A12 (Boreham Interchange) at 9.30 for a 10.00 departure. We will be taking the scenic route through the lanes of Essex and Suffolk through the villages of West Bergholt, Nayland, Kersey, Lavenham and then on to Bury.  Journey time should be 90 minutes.

I will be finalising the route tomorrow (Tuesday) with a dry run, so will have the full details ready tomorrow evening.
Lets hope the weather is favourable.

If you haven't already said you're coming, it's not too late.  Just drop me an e-mail (eric.terry@virgin.net) and I'll put you on the list so that :
a) we don't set off without you
b) I can send you the route

My partner and I are up for this one (added myself to the list Eric)

Once I know your route and depending on the weather I could meet you along the way somewhere… And make sure you all behave…  [H]

And who is going to make sure you behave?
