Just an Update to the Eastern Region Chritmas Party, all things are tickety boo and looking good for saturday night, this is just an update on where, when and what to expect![:D]
The Dinner will be 7:00 for 7:30, the same room as previous years (Same end of the hotel as the bar and swimming pool)[<:o)]
There will be a Quiz with prizes, then it will be the “MX-5actor”(a short light hearted talent show for willing volenteers), following this the now infamous ERHMF Raffle draw, to round things off there will be a little music and of course a well stocked bar![B]
Could anybody coming along please bring a prize for the raffle, we usually collect some nice prizes and all proceeds will be going to the East Anglian Air Ambulance who we have once again chosen to support this year.
Whoa! I certainly had a great evening (and I don’t think I was that pissed) & I hope everyone else did too. Thanks to everyone who arranged it. A few special mentions I think.
Martin (no teeth) Curtis Ken & Karen (of the Manor) Ward Jamie (15 round quiz) Tink
And thanks for my balloon, keyring & card, at least 2 good things came out of that. 1) My opinion of balloons has changed, in fact I now have an opinion & they are COOL! 2) I got home and read the card again & realised I’d never recieved a thank you card until now, it’s a great feeling! Thanks [:D]
I’ll try and get the talent bit uploaded so the colonials with an interest in geetars can submit their view on the finalists!
BTW Martins facial expressions follow a well worn path of geetar maestros including Robin Trower and Jeff Beck so it is “respect man” [H]
It was fab, thanks to everyone who helped out, donated prizes, took part in the talent show, etc, etc, and to everyone who came along and joined in the fun.
A few things to mention;
Quiz winner, Jon Elsey, who got his very own trophy,
Talent winners, the Fab 5, with Judith taking the trophy for being the mastermind behind the ERs very own band.
And £220.00 pounds raised in the draw for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Thanks guys for the thank you card, it was very much appreciated but I lost my balloon, Sharon had rescued it earlier in the evening from Daz who wanted to inhale it, but it it never made it home, probably floating around the hotel somewhere.
What a great night. Loads of fun and thanks to Katie for organising and Jamie for the quiz and everyone else for…well…everything else.
I’ve decided I’m going to give up sparklers as I don’t want to get addicted. Don’t take up the habit, kids!
Sorry if we were a bit rowdy but they don’t let us out of the asylum much!
No, it was a big thanks to those with talent, to KT and Jon for being in the right place at the right time with cameras, and Tracey for the pics, oh and all those with talent! Sorry to Duncan and Elizabeth that we didn’t get you on the big screen but live is always better! As I write u tube is doing things with the talent tape…not long now!
Great evening btw, how was Daz head on Sunday am, hope it was hurting, I couldn’t drink that much Broadside and stay upright without the aid of a lamp post.
I felt a bit iffy before breakfast but better than normal as I wasn’t drinking quickly or mixing. I was fine after breakfast and coffee and bright as a button by midday. Practice makes perfect. When I left later, some pesky hat wearing fools had covered my windscreen in pepper so I imagine the other Amigos felt alright too!
