Clean and restore vinyl roof?

Thought I saw a similar post on this a few days ago but cant find it…

My vinyl roof is in good condition and watertight but the black colour has faded…

Reccomendations for a roof restoring product please.

Thanks    Al

Am sure all sorts of very expensive potions and lotions are available but I use Kiwi Shoe Scuff restorer from Tescos, suitable for vinyl and leather and if you think about it, shoes tend to live in the same environment as your roof- out in the elements rain, wind, frost etc.

Clean with warm water, gentle nail-brush and washing-up liquid rinse and dry properly, apply the black stuff and allow to dry, buff all over with an old towell, instant results. (be careful to remove any moss, leaf debris from around the rear cockpit line)

Also works wonders on Mk1 ashtrays, front lip spoilers, tatty wiper-arms, and any other black trim as wellThumbs up

Never would have thought of that !!

The best product to use is black shoe polish. Keeps vinyl supple and waterproof. No need to use exspensive polishes , if its good for your shoes its good for your hood.

found Auto Finesse Revive works very well on my roofSmile

Autoglym bumpercare, cleans and feeds the vinyl
